Hola
My name is Julia Hasbrook. I am from Indianapolis, IN. I am a graduate of Christ the King School, Bishop Chatard High School and Indiana University. While a junior at Indiana, I did a semester abroad in Seville, Spain. I absolutely loved this experience and would strongly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to study abroad to do it! Upon my return to the states and to Indiana University, I continued my studies and then graduated in 2000. I took a Spanish teaching position at Bishop Chatard, where I taught for four years. I decided to take some time off when my husband and I are started our family. We welcomed our son Will into the world in September of 03'. I returned to BCHS for a semester and then decided I wanted to stay home with Will. In March of 05' we welcomed our second son Drew into the world! I was offered a part time teaching position at Saint Pius X this same year. I decided that I was ready to go back to work on a part time basis. I taught Spanish at SPX for a year and a half until they went to a full time position in 07', which was not what I was looking to do at that time. I then received a call from Mrs. Sharpe about a foreign language opening at Saint Joan of Arc in May of 07' and the hours worked out perfectly with my schedule. My first year at Saint Joan of Arc was a great one and I am very happy to be returning. I am returning to SJA this year with a new addition, my daughter Lilian Rose. Lily was born on June 15th and will be coming to school with me and staying in the new "Mini Monarchs" nursery. How wonderful!!! I am very excited to be teaching again with such a dedicated and talented staff. The students at SJOA are wonderful and very talented as well. I am looking forward to a great school year!!
